I'm so sorry! Losing a family pet is hard. We've had our dog for fourteen years, and we got her when she was about two. I have a feeling we won't have her much longer. I am thankful for the comfort pets bring to our lives, but it's so hard to say goodbye. :(

DeleteI stumbled across your sweet blog. After reading this, I am literally crying. Am so sorry for your loss. Having recently lost a 17 yr old dog, and currently have a 19 yr old dog, I am sharing your feelings about how special they become to our families (I have cats too!).
